Well, here are the same colors, but inverted with blue on the outside and a large white area. Part of my reason for going with the larger white area is because it seems to be easier to read and very similar to the newest trend in web design called WEB 2.0. Google pioneered this particular look and many companies and organizations are following suit. I'm not doing it as Google would, but I am trying to learn from the "experts" as they study what people like and what works. Just a thought.

This is by far my favorite total banner of the ones you've posted so far. Still, I like the pink lightening best for a picture.
ReplyDeleteeasier on the eyes, by far my overall favorite... Now do some filters on your photo so it doesn't look so washed out! I still think black on the outside and navy on the sidebars with only the white center would be the ultimate... but this is the best so far.
ReplyDeleteOh... I forgot to say that this format reminds me a bit of a newspaper.
ReplyDeleteDeea,
ReplyDeleteI know you like black and darker colors as evidenced by your own page. I am purposely trying to get away form using the dark colors in my changes. I may go back to them at some time.
On the photo, I purposely used a "washed out" photo that I had edited. After looking at it for a couple of weeks though, I think I agree with you. Look for changes to come.

Gotta say, This one doesn't hurt the eyes. Well, unless I go to it in a dark room, then it's kinda a blinding light! But - I think it's the best version so far. Banner at the top too. When all else fails.... K.I.S.S. :)
